Beyond the Classroom: Created for His Purpose

We are thrilled and honored to host Christian high schools from the Lower Mainland at The Dream Again Conference: High School Summit. This gathering aims to inspire youth to dream big, nurture those dreams, and recognize the God-given aspirations within them. We understand that this stage of life is pivotal for exploring interests and discovering strengths, gifts, and talents. Some students may be in the application process, while others might be beginning to ponder questions like: What is my purpose? How do I pursue the dreams God has placed in my heart? With endless possibilities ahead, our goal is to ignite a fresh passion that guides students toward their divinely ordained paths.

High School & Career Focus

We are excited to bring back this component of our two-day Dream Again Conference- a half-day focused on ushering students into discovering and pursuing their God-given dreams. Christian school students from across the Lower Mainland are invited to take part in learning that their dreams have no expiry date.

High school students are beginning to explore various career life development conversations and we believe it is essential that a spiritual component is interwoven into these moments of growth. Through both the speakers, breakout sessions, and activities, we aim to integrate components of the BC curriculum, as it pertains to Career-Life Education for grades 10 to 12. There will be opportunities for students to assess, reflect and dialogue about their God-given dreams. We desire for students to explore and conceptualise how to practically walk into those opportunities.

We understand the heart and desire of Christian educators to see young people grow into disciples of Jesus in all spheres of life. As scripture speaks, one man plants another waters, but it is only God who makes it grow (1 Corinthians 3: 6-7). Our hope is that this summit partners with your school’s mission to plant and water seeds in the lives of young people, to see them grow in their God-given identities and reach their God-given potential.

Goals

Our goal for the half-day workshop is trifold:

  • Develop awareness of their personal strengths, competencies, values, and passions;

  • Partner with your school’s mission to teach and instil a biblical world and life view;

  • Build community through gathering and communicating collaboratively with others.

The following is an outline of the schedule for the day. After the main session, we will have a 50-minute break for lunch. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch, however, lunch will also be provided. Students will get to attend smaller breakout sessions, with various topics to choose from. Please note that the schedule is subject to some minor changes.
